Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.
Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.
Music lessons in Recorder, Keyboard and Guitar are conducted on a weekly basis. Each child has two 30 minute sessions . Those learning Guitar pay a $12 lesson fee, whilst Keyboard and Recorder are taught by teaching staff at no cost.
Students are produced an end of year Operetta entitled "The Turnip Tale" , where a combination of performance outcomes in drama, dance, stage craft, choir and individual musical performances - were highlighted!
Everyone agreed this Performance, at our local Community Hall was a great success!
