Three Mountains Alliance (3MAPS)

Four schools, one destination, quality education

The Three Mountains Alliance of Public Schools (3MAPS) is a strategic partnership uniting the rural schools of Hannam Vale, Herons Creek, Moorland, and Johns River (closed in 2024) - each nestled on Biripi and Biripai Land between Taree and Port Macquarie on the Mid-North Coast of NSW. Through 3MAPS, school principals work closely together to shape planning and set shared strategic directions, strengthening educational outcomes across the region.

Teachers participate in joint professional learning, building connections and sharing expertise to enhance teaching and learning in every classroom. Students regularly gather for inter-school days and excursions, forging friendships and developing a strong sense of belonging in their wider community. These opportunities help create lasting connections, supporting students as they prepare to transition together to high school.
